This video from the Philadelphia “No Kings” protest was all over X. If you don’t feel pity for this woman, you don’t have a heart, or a grandmother.
Click HERE for video. The woman does not know why she is scared out of her mind, just that the TV told her to be.
The left is playing a cynical game with the minds of senior citizens. It is evil and it is working for them, so they aren’t going to stop. It is up to those of us who love the elders in our families and our neighborhoods to rescue them from the silo of false information.

As long as any Boomer can remember, Democrats have threatened seniors with losing their Medicare and their Social Security. The greedy Republicans were going to take it from them. Knowing that so many of the elderly rely on those programs for their very life, it is a cruel lie.
In 2011, the fearmongering culminated in a “throw granny off the cliff” commercial.
See video HERE
The only thing that has changed since then is that Medicare copays are higher and inflation has caused the un-taxed portion of Social Security to be completely inadequate as an income, making dependent seniors even more desperate.
As a cohort, Boomers voted for Kamala Harris by a larger percentage than any other age group. Since Harris ran on “abortion rights” and “orange man bad,” it really does not make sense that this age cohort, traditionally leaning socially and fiscally conservative, would back her. Not many grannys are needing abortion services. The economy was demonstrably better, with inflation controlled, under Trump, and any Boomer can recognize the signs of dementia demonstrated by Joe Biden. Those old enough to have protested the Vietnam war should have appreciated Trump’s stance on exiting “endless wars.” What happened?
The legacy media happened. The seniors are captured by it because the alternatives require technology that they either don’t have, don’t understand, or are afraid of.
They read physical newspapers, all of which are captured by leftist/globlist billionaires. There is no utterance made by President Trump that isn’t described as either “debunked” or “without evidence,” in these newspapers.
They listen to NPR. Enough said.
They watch cable TV, or satellite. Many, many of them have their news tuned to CNN and when they push the ON button, that is what they see.
The reason for this is CNN was THE cable news channel for years before it had any competition, and it actually started out fairly unbiased. For many seniors it still is their “trusted name for news” because they don’t know they are being manipulated. Nothing in their world is contradicting CNN.
Fox News came along later, and it flatters the other side of the uniparty. Fox has been perennially pro-war and anti-Trump. It was Bret Baier of Fox who famously handed the 2020 Presidential race to Biden by “calling” Arizona within minutes of their polls closing, even before a single fraudulent ballot could be trucked in.
When Elon Musk bought Twitter, the Twitter Files exposed the extent to which the government controlled the media. All of it.
Alternative media was born from the ashes of total informational blackout, the pinnacle of which was January 2021, when President Trump was removed from Twitter. Then Parler, the only free speech platform at the time, was nuked off the internet by Amazon, Google and Apple working together to deny service.
During the next 48 hours many of us, horrified, watched “the purge,” when every single conservative voice was removed from Twitter. They had already been throttled on Facebook, and banned from YouTube, due to little things called Covid, and the Laptop from Hell.
If you can remember what a dark and frightening time that was, the Boomers are still living there. It’s no wonder they are crying.
They don’t have X, Truth, or Gettr. They don’t have Gateway Pundit, The Federalist, OANN or RAV, Charlie Kirk or Joe Rogan, or any other outlet or podcast that you access on your phone.
They don’t have Rumble or Substack.
Many might use Facebook, and we all know what a cesspit that is.
Some seniors are tech savvy, mainly if they had to be for a job. But many can’t even tell you what a podcast is, let alone find it on an app.
It is up to each of us to bring granny back from the cliff. Her sanity depends upon it, and our future elections depend upon it. Nobody should be left behind in the dystopian world of government-controlled media. It’s just cruel.
Here is what you can do for the elderly loved one in your life.
Cancel their cable. If that isn’t possible, reset the remote. One enterprising man admitted he set his mother’s child protection settings to prevent her from accessing CNN or CNBC. Give that man a gold star. OANN is now on most cable and dish systems. Look for that and set Mom’s remote accordingly.
If they have a smart TV, you can set up streaming services such as Blaze, or set up YouTube streaming and bookmark your favorite conservative channels. It might be worth buying your parents a smart TV if theirs is obsolete.
Buy them a subscription to Epoch Times, the paper version that arrives weekly in their mailbox. It is the only physical paper we are aware of that has unbiased reporting. It is cheaper than Netflix, and it has great puzzles.
Of the social media platforms, Gettr is the easiest to navigate. It formats very similar to Facebook and will feel familiar.
If they have a phone or a tablet, load the Substack app for them and load the free subscriptions you think they would enjoy, or that you find interesting. I highly recommend “Coffee and Covid” for first-timers on Substack. Boomers grew up with books, not video, so many will appreciate this platform.
Download the Rumble app, put your favorite podcasts into their favorites list, and show them how to find them. If they can afford the $99/year ($9.99/month) to be ad-free, it is well worth it. The ads are annoying and might turn them away from the app.
If you love your elders, and you want to bring them out of irrational fear, please, by all that is holy, help them be empowered with unbiased information.
The woman on the video is crying for help, she doesn’t know that her fear is largely unfounded, that she is being used and manipulated. You have people in your sphere who may be just as frightened, but you won’t see them cry. Please treat them with compassion rather than ridicule. Some of them are too far gone, but many of them will respond to your kindness with gratitude.
